Approaching Essay Questions (IN PERSON) In-Person

This workshop is aimed at undergraduate students, however, anyone new to academic writing is welcome.

Workshop Details:

You have been given your essay question(s) on a course you’re studying and you have a few weeks to get the assignment written and submitted. So, now what? This workshop is designed to help students get started on an essay, and to make essay questions less daunting. It looks at the different types of essay questions students often face, how we can break down the questions and assess what is required, the early stages of brainstorming, planning and mapping our ideas, as well as how we conquer ‘blank white page’ syndrome and actually begin writing.
